Wood Loft Beds

Loft beds are available in traditional and contemporary styles in the markets. They are made of either wood or metal. Most loft beds are made of wood. It is easier to make safety modifications and enhancements in wooden loft beds. Wooden loft beds are more economical than metal loft beds. Furthermore, they can be easily repaired, painted, stripped or stained to create a new, different look.
students use their loft beds as huge message pads and save money on paper. But these wooden beds are not so popular with their female colleagues. They prefer metal loft beds, as they allow a greater amount of decoration. Two people can easily assemble a wooden loft bed in an hour or two. The tools required are a 9/16 wrench, a socket wrench, a head screwdriver and a hammer. However, no tools are necessary for a metal loft bed.
Wooden loft beds are generally heavy and are bolted very tightly together, so they do not shake or wobble. They are generally made of pine and are available in different sizes, including single, double, king size and super king size. It is recommended to check for solid hardwood construction for durability. The bed should not have sharp edges. In addition, it is better if the bed has a built-in desk and bookshelves. These beds are just as safe and convenient as conventional beds. While purchasing loft beds, it is recommended to ensure that it has guardrails that have no more than three inches of space between the rail and the mattress. This prevents children from falling through the space. The choice between a wooden bed and a metal bed is a personal preference. The decision depends upon the available space and the desired style.
