They are generally made of pine and are available in different sizes, including single, double, king size and super king size. It is recommended to check for solid hardwood construction for durability. The bed should not have sharp edges. In addition, it is better if the bed has a built-in desk and bookshelves. These beds are just as safe and convenient as conventional beds. While purchasing loft beds, it is recommended to ensure that it has guardrails that have no more than three inches of space between the rail and the mattress. This prevents children from falling through the space. The choice between a wooden bed and a metal bed is a personal preference. The decision depends upon the available space and the desired style.
